The Truth Hurts (if it’s actually true)
Every morning I sift through countless articles that describe Salvia as the “drug that’s sweeping the nation” or even better “Warning: Legal Drug Could Kill Your Child” (I won’t waste my time linking to those). However, this morning I came across a great article written by Marco Ursi (macleans.ca). I expected to read the usual biased slant, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see a neutral perspective. Normally this isn’t something to write home to Mom about, but there’s a growing trend to regurgitate commentary, not just as your own, but without understanding all the externalities that orbit the issue.
In his article, “Salvia isn’t just the new drug of choice for experimental kids. It’s a great way to get mildly famous,” the reader is given the opportunity to reach his/her own conclusions about Salvia’s recent worldwide clash with the middle class. Let’s just hope the legislators see through the meaningless claims perpetuated by the countless millions of empty perspectives and cut-and-paste “journalists.”
